Mark Gabel operates in a world most people don’t even know exists—where luxury construction meets real-world security at the highest level. As the owner of Safe and Sound and Salus Secure Environments, he designs and delivers high-end safes, hidden rooms, and fully integrated luxury safe rooms for clients across the U.S. and internationally—projects where privacy, protection, and precision aren’t optional, they’re expected.
What started as a locksmith and safe business has evolved into a niche operation working on complex, often confidential projects—ranging from concealed safe rooms built into multimillion-dollar homes to custom-engineered security doors and systems imported from Italy. Mark works closely with international manufacturing partners, navigating language barriers, engineering challenges, logistics, and ever-changing global constraints to bring highly specialized products to market.
His path hasn’t been linear. It’s involved scaling a service business from the ground up, managing risk and debt, building and rebuilding teams, and learning how to operate between craftsmanship and high-level business strategy. Today, Mark is focused on turning a historically hands-on, custom business into a scalable operation—while continuing to push into new markets, expand a national dealer network, and redefine what “security” looks like in the luxury residential world.
